Is the breach check really private?

Yes. We use the Have I Been Pwned k-Anonymity model. Only the first 5 characters of your password's SHA-1 hash are sent to HIBP. Your actual password is never transmitted. This is the same privacy-preserving method used by 1Password.

What is the EFF Long Wordlist?

The EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) Long Wordlist contains 7,776 carefully selected words optimized for passphrases. Each word provides ~12.9 bits of entropy. A 6-word passphrase gives you ~77 bits of entropy, making it extremely secure and memorable.

Why isn't this a password manager?
