Common questions

Walking Zikr is not counting my steps

Walking Zikr uses your phone's built-in pedometer. Make sure Motion & Fitness permission is granted in your device settings. The step sensor is not available in the iOS Simulator, so please test on a real device. If the toggle in the session screen says "Off", tap it once to switch it on.

Prayer time reminders are not arriving

Open Settings › Prayer times & reminders, confirm each time is set correctly, and make sure the reminder toggle is on for the prayers you want. The app schedules notifications locally and re-arms them each time you open the app. If notifications are blocked in your device settings, no reminder can fire.

I lost my session when I closed the app

Walking Zikr auto-saves your current session every few seconds while you're counting. When you reopen the app, a "Continue where you left off?" prompt appears on the Home screen. Auto-saved sessions are kept for up to 6 hours, then discarded.

How do I reset everything?

Settings › Reset app data. This permanently erases all sessions, settings, and prayer times stored on your device. It cannot be undone.

Why do long dhikr phrases (like Arafat Tahlil) count slower?

Long phrases use a paced walking counter so that several steps add up to one count, instead of each step adding a recitation. This keeps the step-based count realistic for longer phrases.

Is Walking Zikr a tasbih counter?

It can be used as one: the manual tap mode works like any digital tasbih. The pedometer-based Walking Zikr mode is the differentiator: hands-free counting tied to your walking pace.

Is my data sent anywhere?

Your dhikr, sessions, and settings never leave your device. The one exception is if you buy Walking Zikr Pro: Apple and RevenueCat receive anonymous purchase information so your purchase can be delivered and restored. Nothing else is ever sent. See our Privacy Policy for details.

I paid but Pro is not unlocked

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. If it still does not unlock, email us and tell us which Apple Account you purchased with, and we will help.

How do I get a refund?

All purchases are handled by Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple rather than from us. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, find Walking Zikr and choose Request a Refund. We are not able to issue refunds ourselves, and Apple decides each request. If something in the app is not working, please email us first and we will try to put it right.
